Installed Capacity

To satisfy the energy needs of the State, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited has conventional installed capacity of 16,652.20 MW as on 01.04.2022 which includes TANGEDCO owned generating stations, share from the Central Generating Stations (CGS) and Private Power Purchase and non-conventional (Renewable) installed capacity as on 01.04.2022 is 17,225.11 MW which includes Hydro, Wind, Solar, Biomass and Co-generation plants.
